Final Project. This is a “create your own” final project. The idea is that each of you will devote significant time to pursue your own goals with respect to the nonprofit sector.
The project requirements:1) It must include significant time getting out and connecting with others in the nonprofit sector who are serving organizations that are of interest to you; 2) it must be about your own personal goals with respect to the nonprofit sector, and 3) it must include a mini strategic action plan, using the template below – or something similar.
Step One: Brainstorm. What do you want to do? What tools and resources do you have to do it? What limitations do you have? What opportunities are out there?

Final Project. This is a “create your own” final project. The idea is that each of you will devote significant time to pursue your own goals with respect to the nonprofit sector.
The project requirements: 1) It must include significant time getting out and connecting with others in the nonprofit sector who are serving organizations that are of interest to you; 2) it must be about your own personal goals with respect to the nonprofit sector, and 3) it must include a mini strategic action plan, using the template below – or something similar.
Step One: Brainstorm. What do you want to do? What tools and resources do you have to do it? What limitations do you have? What opportunities are out there?
Step Two: Draft one or two concrete goals and describe what the desired outcome looks like if the goal is achieved.
Step Three: Draft two or three milestones that must be reached in order to accomplish each goal
Step Four: List the specific actions (steps) that must be taken in order to achieve each milestone
Step Five: Turn in the strategic plan by May 29.
Step Six: Complete at least a few of the actions (steps) before June 7. Continue with the action steps and turn in a short (one page) report on the action steps you took, what you learned, and any wisdom that you have to pass along by June 14.
